So the weather seems stable (?) at last and no more black and whites… normality!
The second wedding of the season kicked off yesterday and what a fun time. Sadly I am unable to share wedding images with you, but I can share these images of the car! A 1960’s Zephyr, and in fine condition. It was a late afternoon ceremony so lighting was not great, groups indoors and a few hurried outside pictures. I have just looked through quickly and all looking fine! 🙂

Have a good weekend. 🙂
Whilst out walking the dog today I walked past the vineyard. The sun was shinning and never to miss a photo opportunity I noticed the grapes had been harvested. I quickly returned home to grab the camera gear to return to the grapes. When I arrived at the vineyard again they were just about to be loaded onto transport to the winery.
I asked the owner if I could take some pictures and gave him my commercial business card, he was very obliging and quite informative. The grapes were picked a few hours before and crated ready for despatch. All these lovely, sweet (I had a taste!) grapes will be made into English sparkling wine. I think this is a lovely set of commercial produce images which could be used in various settings.
Where to start editing!?
I have now arrived home after the trip to Rome. I have so many useable images. (see previous post)
I have now set myself a task to generate some income from the images taken. The only question is what is a suitable medium?
How do you out put your prints? Through a gallery, or postcards? Giclee prints? Or do you make books?
If anyone has ideas or experience in selling art prints online or off, I would love to hear from you.
Here is another from Rome…
I have been a little quiet with the blog of late. I am busy travelling at the moment and currently in Italy. here are a couple of sneak previews of some images taken with the iPhone.
I have taken a few hundred on the D700 and can’t wait to get home to begin editing!
In my recent concerted efforts to break away from social photography and a little more into advertising and commercial photography, I have just finished a small job for a local restaurant.
This lovely local Italian is launching a new spring menu and needed some quick launch pictures to use on their facebook page. I will be invited back soon to photograph the actual food on offer, which will be great fun!
All taken with available light and hand held on the D700 with prime lens of 85mm, 50mm and 28mm.
The Italian serving great food.
As the sun is out I will be tramping the streets this afternoon in search of some video material. I have been dabbling with the Nikon D5100 video potential for a little while but never had a real project to get my teeth into! … watch this space!
Here are a few more pictures from the current snowy weather!
I felt real lazy for some of the images as they were taken from the car! Not because I couldnt be bothered to get out, but because it was not safe, some of the trees were beside a dangerous place to stop and get out with the camera. Also if a car had come around and walloped me from behind I dont think the police would have been too pleased! , All in the name of art!

The post box image: It just had to be “Schindlered” I rarely do spot colouring but this was crying out for it.
This is a photograph of my companion Alfie the German Short Haired Pointer. I may be a bit bias but I think he is photogenic!
It was quite a simple lighting set up for Low Key lighting. One soft box and a reflector to the right and a second light behind to give a rim light. It was taken on an 85mm nikon lens. This is my basic set up for dogs, it helps if they are well behaved!
Butter wouldn’t melt!

It has been ages since I posted anything on my blog. It seems to slip down the list of things to do in the summer with all the wedding work on.
I have just had lunch with a good friend and earlier last month I photographed their wedding. It was such a happy and relaxed affair and I think thats why I can say it was probably one of the best weddings for a long time. They were so nice and and did not mind me clicking away all day.
Here is a few from their wedding, I am still in the process of editing the bulk of the images. :->
Well its all done! I had an amazing time in Saintes and La Rochelle with Dermot and Abi. Everyone made me feel so welcome and there was a never ending supply of food and drink!
Travelling from Southampton to France was so easy, and I can not believe it only takes an hour or so to get to such beautiful scenery. My school boy French got me buy and I have learnt that there are NO taxis, bus or shops working on a sunday! Its the French way, which isnt a bad thing when you know about it!
I have so many pictures which I am still editing, it will take a while. One gallery will be the main wedding page and the other will be street photography in and around La Rochelle.
Here is a sneak peak at a few images from their very French affair! :-> more to follow…
It has been a while since I have posted so here are a few words.
I have been so busy with wedding photography the last few weeks and I have a wedding every weekend for the next six weeks! I am going to the Isle of Wight this saturday and the following week to La Rochelle in France! All this travelling is making me think about booking a holiday, I am going to need it at the end of the year!
This picture is from a wedding a couple of weeks ago, Gemma and Chris had an amazing day in Romsey. Here are a few words from Gemma..
We can’t thank you enough for the photos, we are so pleased with them. Thank you so much!!! I am sorry if we wanted too many photos on the day, I know me and my friends can get a bit carried away sometimes!
We had an amzaing wedding day and enjoyed every moment of it, the day went so quickly!
Everyone really enjoyed the photobooth and commented on how good and professional they thought you were.
Cool wedding car and couple!
I will post some more pictures soon from all the other exciting jobs I have been to over the last few weeks. Here is another from the last wedding in Winchester at the Hotel Du Vin. Great fun! :->
